BONTOC — Mountain Province State University (MPSU) has cemented its place in the international academic arena by formally sealing a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Asia Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (APCORE). The agreement stands as a testament to the university’s growing stature as a globally capable institution rooted in indigenous excellence.
The signing ceremony took place on May 29, 2026, at the MPSU Administrative Conference Hall. The event drew a distinguished assembly of international delegates, including APCORE Chairman Dr. Veeranot Nissapatorn, Executive Director Dr. Witawat Jangiam, Dr. Ai Songheang of SEAMEO TED, and senior education officials from Cambodia’s Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. They were joined by academic representatives from Indonesia, Malaysia, Canada, Thailand, France, and the Philippines.
MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue emphasized the foundational values of the agreement, stating that the partnership is built on mutual trust, shared responsibility, and a collective aspiration. The MOU officially opens doors for joint research initiatives, faculty mobility programs, and expansive knowledge exchange, positioning MPSU competitively on the world stage.
Spearheaded by the Local and International Affairs Unit, this initiative represents more than a signing; it is a declaration of intent.
