On March 13, 2025, Mountain Province State University formalized its strengthened collaboration for
sustainable water resources and livelihoods by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding with the
International Organization for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction Management Inc.
(IO-CCA-DRRM), along with four (4) Philippine higher education institutions. The MOU signing took place
at Kihada Hall, DPRI, Uji Campus, Kyoto University. Prior to the signing, a ministerial meeting was
convened, wherein future plans and projects were thoroughly discussed. This initiative is part of the
Nexus Philippines Inception Workshop, under the NEXUS program, a collaborative effort focused on
sustainable water management and reservoir dam operations, involving Kyoto University, Japan, and
Isabela State University, Philippines.
